th of Diyah: Our heroes get ready to infiltrate the gathering at Ali's mansion. Farooq gets involved with Julnar in a romantic fashion. The heroes get ready and at midnight, are brought to the mansion. They are surrounded by three other groups of adventurers as they spot Ali's lieutenant Mutamin, whom is flanked by his twin bodyguards, Sadira and Ansha. After a brief conversation, the hostess of the party arrives and blesses the room in the name of Kossuth, the Fire God. After a brief speech about the trials they lived, this was their final test to become members of the Brotherhood. Badiyah al-Sa'id al-Sahim, a beautiful elf maid, arrived with Headmaster Fadir Beni Hamad from the University of Flame. In horror, Fadir watched as the guards and the other parties engaged the heroes and Julnar, having thought she could spare them if he told her about their attempt. His idea rewarded him with a poison dart directly in his neck, a gift from the gratful Badiyah whose lover, Ali al-Lazan, needed protection. She unleashed her magical fury at them as they fought off the other adventurers. Barely surviving the poison, Fadir tries to intervene but is cut short by the lightning attack from both Sadira and Ansha, leaving him in a pool of blood and entrails. Mutamin engaged the heroes, trying to rescue the now in trouble Badiyah. Both of Mutamin's bodyguard escaped before he did, unable to reach Badiyah and leaving her to her fate. Farooq delivers the knock out blow as Badiyah crumbles to the ground and stops Julnar from killing their only lead to Ali.
th of Diyah: Early in the morning, while still in the mansion, our heroes tie and gag Badiyah to prevent her escape and search the mansion for clues of Ali's whereabouts. After a careful search, they discover a hidden staircase, going underground to a hidden corridor. Our heroes follow the corridor into a room from which noises come from, a mix of various roars. As our heroes enter the room, Saladin releases the pressure plate that seals off the room and releases the guardian, a mutated chimera. Ali's recorded image and speech foretells them of their doom at the hadn of his creation. A vicious fight ensues as the fire breathing Chimera was mixed with a fire elemental, giving unparalleled powers. Ramanhi's attacks coupled with Saladin's wand of Magic Missiles finished off the beast. As they search Ali's lab, they uncover a journal written in Ignan. Julnar offers to decipher it. The rest of the day was spent on healing and thinking about their next move, catching Mutamin.
th of Diyah: As they ate breakfast, our heroes receive visit from a Lizard man, a Gnoll and a Kobold. They also spot a Goblin. The Lizard man addresses the group and asks them to join forces to capture Mutamin to get to Ali and they can split the reward. After much thinking, our heroes declines Nabil's offer. He informs them that they should not stand in their way. Shortly after, Farooq's makes a copy of the journal and has he finishes it, a Messenger Genie delivers a note from Mutamin. He wants to make an exchange, valuables for the journal. The group agrees to meet them by the pier after hours. Our heroes get ready for an ambush in case Mutamin doesn't live up to his expectations. Saladin and Farooq discuss the powers of the twins that they noticed during the fight and concluded that these elves didn't use arcane or divine powers and might be something worht investigating as well as their crystal swords. At the appointed time, Farooq, Ramanhi and Saladin showed up at the meeting so was Mutamin and his two bodyguards. No weapons were drawn and Mutamin paid the price of 500 000 dinars in rare stones as well as leaving his weapon as well as his bodyguards crystal swords. As both party departed, Farooq notices the same goblin from the group earlier, spying on the exchange and before he could call his friends attention, the goblin had vanished.
th of Diyah: Saladin is suddenly requested to answer a call from his Church and left the group, stating he didn't know how long it would take, being a Faris meant obidience to his Faith. Ramanhi and Farooq spent the day at the Caliph's court supervising the trial of Badiyah, now identified as a member of the Bortherhood of the True Flame. Their testemony and the magical evidence left no wonder to her punishement, the sealing of her magical abilities, arsher than death for a Saher. She was kept imprisoned and Farooq tried to get Ali's location from her but her loyalties would not falter. Frustrated, our heroes leave for the Suq to get a trim but Fadir the barber wasn't there. They noticed the sign stating that Fadir was out of town for the day. Giving a few Bits to the poor, the duo went back to their inn to relax, smoke some shisha and enjoy the evening.
th of Diyah: Our heroes have an uneventful day as they roam the city, hearing rumors of holy war down south in the Pearl Kingdoms. Farooq marries Julnar and makes her his third wife. Now the Headmistress of the University of Fire, she can't travel with them but she gives Farooq a bag of holding in which he can put items and she can get them and vice versa. A useful item for a group that travels as well as making a coffer that can hold all of Farooq's money he collected for his church. The Sultan Kamal al-Hadi gives them two carpets of flying for their travels as reward for bringing Badiyah to his attention and diminishing the influence of the Brotherhood in his city.Going back and passing by the Suq, Farooq and Ramanhi notice that Fadir is still not back and start to worry. After investigating the barber's shop and asking questions around, they decide to look for him, concluding that they are dealing with a kidnapping. They arrive at the inn in tiime to receive a message. Nabil, the lizard man, wants to talk to them. At a tavern on the docks, the group meets with the lizard man, his kobold and gnoll friends. Farooq confronts Nabil about the goblin he saw trailing them when they made the exchange. Nabil confesed he had hem followed but now Umar, the goblin, is also missing. His last known location was the Suq, trying to get information from the local barber. Farooq and Ramanhi leaves them and return to the inn for some shut eye and to think.
nd of Diyah: After a good night's rest, Ramanhi and Farooq resume their search of the Fadir the barber. They search again his stand and find a clue, a note with a time and date, tonight, at the same inn they were yesterday. It stated to come alone. Wanting backup on this one, Farooq asks Ahmed, the magic store owner for the names of some mercenaries to serve as backup. AS the time drew near, Farooq and Ramanhi set their backup up and as they wait for the one who left the note, they notice that some of their backup are now missing. Seeing it as a liability, Farooq orders the others to retreat and leave. They notice a shape out of the window. They follow it to an abandoned dock where they see Fadir the barber and a goblin tied up on a rope. Weapons drawn, the duo went to the captives when they hear the taunts of a Black Flame Zealot, who calls himself Rahmed, a follower and priest of Kossuth. Farooq told Ramanhi to get the captives down while he held the twin Kukri wielding priest at bay. He succeeded at first but Rahmed was fanatical in his attack and with several vicious cuts to Farooq, shifted him into a defensive stance. As Rahmed was about to land the fatal blow, Ramanhi's scimitar dug deep into Rahmed's chain shirt, drawing blood. Farooq tried to support Ramanhi by casting an offensive spell Rahmed but the spell got dispelled somehow. Ramanhi pressed on and the priest fell to Ramanhi's brutal slashes. Searching the body, they grabed all they could, including the captives and ran out as the fire from the body set aflame the abandoned dock, burning the body of the priest. The duo brought Farid and Umar to Saladin's Church. Both got treatment but Saladin was forced to deny his friends shelter, healing and explenation as he was ordered to return inside. Farooq looked as his friend followed the command of the priest. The Iman turned to Farooq and Ramanhi and stated "we must maintain our neutrality, your friend will return for the 26th. Take shelter at the Sultan's palace, he told me to give you the message. Something terrible is happening. Be careful."
